ABOUT

Life doesn’t often go according to our plans -- something I'm all too familiar with. I have spent years in the client seat of a therapy office after experiencing several personal crises, so I understand the vulnerability and work it takes to change one’s life. I believe the benefits of therapy can be empowering, and lead to a more authentic life.

After 15 years in the design world, I returned to school to pursue a career in mental health counseling to help others navigate similar life challenges, find healing, and reconnect with their authentic selves. My hope is to witness and support your journey to express, explore, and discover who you are and who you want to be.

I believe our past informs our present and can guide us to a different future, if we choose it. I work from a holistic therapeutic approach with emphasis on family of origin, personal beliefs, mind-body connection, and attachment styles.

As a licensed professional counselor (Lic #0701013186), I work with adolescents and adults, both virtually and in person in Old Town Alexandria, VA. I specialize in grief and loss, infertility, trauma, depression and loneliness, divorce, relationship and family issues.

________

I currently call Northern Virginia home, but I have lived all over the country, moving frequently throughout my childhood. I enjoy quality time with loved ones, cooking things from scratch, tan lines on my feet, and holistic living, and I am kind of amazing at choosing the best container for leftovers.
