ABOUT
Life doesn’t often go according to our plans -- something I'm all too familiar with. I spent years in the client seat of a therapy office after experiencing several personal crises, so I understand the vulnerability and work it takes to change one’s life, but the benefits of therapy can be empowering and lead to a more authentic self.
After 15 years in the design world, I decided to return to school and pursue a career in mental health counseling. With a desire to always be curious, my hope is to witness and support your journey to express, explore, and discover who you are and who you want to be.
I believe our past informs our present and can guide us to a different future, if we choose it. I work from a holistic, person-centered therapeutic approach with emphasis on family of origin, personal beliefs, mind-body connection, and attachment styles.
I work with adolescents and adults, both virtually and in person in Old Town Alexandria, VA. I specialize in grief and loss, including infertility and divorce, trauma, depression and loneliness, relationship and family issues.
As a Resident in Counseling (VA #0704013717) working toward licensure, I am supervised by Dr. Tracy Bushkoff, LPC (VA #0701001581).

________
I currently call Northern Virginia home, but I have lived all over the country, moving frequently throughout my childhood. I enjoy quality time with friends, cooking, being active, and holistic living, and I am kind of amazing at choosing the appropriate container for leftovers.
